Power Issues In NJ Suspend Amtrak Service From Philly To New York

Hundreds of travelers were left stranded Thursday morning, July 6.

Enraged Amtrak and NJ Transit customers took to Twitter during morning rush hour as power issues at Amrak's Metropark station in New Jersey halted service from Philadelphia to New York, 

With no substitute transportation available, crews were working to restore power as of 9:40 p.m. Service to NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor was also impacted.

Two trains were being held in Philadelphia, and trains were only operating from Philly to Pittsburgh.

Angry customers slammed the companies on Twitter.
